This policy explains what personal information we collect through emmanuelohana.ca and our forms, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. "We" and "us" mean Emmanuel Ohana, a licensed insurance advisor in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia, working independently through HUB Financial, and the people who help him serve clients.
We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the Personal Information Protection Acts of British Columbia and Alberta, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information you give us. When you fill in one of our forms, we collect your name, email address, phone number, province, age range, and your answers to our questions (for example, your retirement goals, roughly how much you have saved and where, what you could set aside each month, and your timing).
If you later ask for a quote or decide to apply for a policy, we will collect the additional information the insurer needs, such as your date of birth, health and lifestyle details, financial information and beneficiaries. We explain what is needed and get your consent at that time.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our pages, we and our service providers collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, the ad or link that brought you here, and the actions you take (for example, submitting a form). We use cookies and similar technologies for this, including the Meta Pixel (see section 5).
We only use your information for these purposes, or for other purposes you agree to or that the law allows.
When you submit a form, you are asking us to get in touch about your request, so we will contact you by text message, phone and email about it. If you agree to receive ongoing messages, we may also send occasional updates and offers.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To measure which ads work and to show our ads to people likely to find them useful, we use the Meta Pixel on our pages and the Meta Conversions API from our customer management system.
This means Meta Platforms may receive information about your visit and the actions you take with us (for example, that you submitted a form, started an application or became a client, and for clients a dollar value used to measure our advertising), together with identifiers such as your email address and phone number. Contact details are converted into a scrambled code (hashed) before they are sent. We do not send Meta your answers to our questions.
You can control the ads you see in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We do not sell your personal information.
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as long as the law and insurance regulations require. After that, we securely delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
We limit access to people who need it to help you, protect our accounts with strong passwords and two-step verification where available, and use providers that apply industry-standard security. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, as the law requires.
To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer (section 1). We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca) or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca).
Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
